Organizada por el Grupo ProPuerto, tuvo lugar en el auditorio de la Bolsa de Comercio de Santa Fe, la conferencia de Mohammed Al Muallem, vicepresidente senior y director General Región Eau de Dubai Port World.

DP World opera más de 65 puertos en el mundo (Europa, América, Asia, etc.), mueve 60 millones de TEU’s y es considerado como uno de los 4 operadores de contenedores líderes, internacionalmente.

Antes de la disertación, los representantes de DP World compartieron un almuerzo en el Salón Brigadier López de la Bolsa, del que participaron en representación del gobierno provincial, el ministro de Infraestructura José León Garibay; de la Municipalidad, Marcelo Gastaldi y Pablo Tabares, y el presidente del Ente Administrador del Puerto de Santa Fe, Sebastián Fumis. Por la Bolsa participaron los vicepresidentes Gustavo Vittori y Melchor Amor Arranz; Gabriel Filippa y Germán Dobler. Gabriel Culzoni, Norberto Velasco y Hugo Pedriel, entre otros, como integrantes del Grupo Pro Puerto; por la Sociedad Rural, Hugo Iturraspe; por la Cámara de Comercio Exterior, Daniel Oblán y por el Centro Comercial, Daniel Bustamante y Jorge Baremberg.

Dubai is ‘best city’ for expats in Middle East

Dubai: Dubai remains the top city for expatriates, with its quality of living rated the best in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena), according to the latest survey by an international human resources consultancy.

The Mercer 2016 Quality of Living Survey placed Dubai number one in the region and 75th in the global rankings. Abu Dhabi came in close second in Mena and 81st globally.

The survey ranks more than 200 cities around the world based on factors such as medical care, public services, recreational facilities, political and social environment. The survey is intended to help companies determine fair compensation for employees on international assignments.

Dubai-backed smart city opens, eyes 90,000 tech jobs by 2020

Dubai Holding has announced the opening of the Kochi Smart City project in Kerala which aims to create more than 90,000 technology sector jobs in the Indian state by 2020.

Kochi Smart City, developed by Dubai Holding in collaboration with the Kerala state government, is being developed across 246 acres, with 14 million square feet used for the construction of the project, including 6.5 million square feet designed specifically for knowledge services and information technology and related services.

The remaining space will be allocated for schools, colleges, retail shops and hotels, news agency WAM reported.
